New! SPILLING INK CONTEST for Ages 8- 12!

You asked for it - you got it! Announcing a new Spilling Ink short story contest for 8-12 year old writers. Send us your best story, short or long (1000 word limit, please). Our deadline is February 15, 2012. We have exciting new prizes (Yay!). As usual, Ellen Potter and Anne Mazer will be the judges. Hope to see you enter! Classes and homeschoolers welcome! I'm so excited! This will be my first contest. The other ones, I just read. I love spilling ink by the way! I am right on the edge of the age limit! Go 12-year old people!

Haha. The day this contest came out, I wrote and finished my story. I'm revising and editing it everyday until February!
wow. lol have fun :) I luv writing, but i also luv singing, dancing, drawing, and hanging out with my bffs :D what about u?
I like writing (duh), playing viola, soccer, being with friends and family, and drawing!
cool, i used to play violin, but we could not afford to pay the rent for it so we had to give it back :( It was fun though! Right now I am trying to learn to play the keyboard and learn to sing better :) I luv music lol i like to listen to it while i write :) what do you like to draw? I like drawing birds, people,and flowers :)
I draw badly, lol. But, it's still fun! I draw people, things I think are funny, and made-up creatures.

I like writing (of course), singing, Morris and Country dancing, acting (though I don't get to do a lot of it :( ), playing violin, playing piano, and composing music! It's very interesting to me to see how much writing a story and writing music are similar.
